S01E02 “Flower Power”: Deleted Scenes
Here are two scenes that never made their way to the final episode.
The first one is the original version of the signature spell “Crystal Luxtra”, at that time called “Crystal Florus”.
While we liked this version, director Vandestoc thought we could do better. He wanted to link this attack to Ephedia itself, and therefore came up with the idea of the princesses calling for help of the main crystal of Ephedia’s casle, which happen to be the only crystal free from Gramorr’s corruption. (It’s big, blue, can’t miss it)
Jean-Louis wanted to remind that while Gramorr dominates the castle, he’s not its rightful lord : the castle too is waiting for Iris to free it from evil !
The second scene at the end, was the original ending of the episode. It was removed for two reason :
- First one is that our producer wanted the episode to finish on a positive line, and not with the negative threat of Gramorr.
- Second reason is that we had too much material, and had to make a choice anyway… If we wanted to keep this shot, we would need to remove other part of the episode, or edit it to be quicker and we didn’t want it.
